SportingKid Magazine To Debut August 2001

SportingKid magazine publishers Michael J. Pallerino and Tina D'Aversa-Williams have announced that the new magazine will hit newsstands this August. SportingKid will provide information for the parents of kids who are active in youth sports leagues and the growing number of individual sporting activities.

``As independent publishers and parents of sports-crazed kids, our goal is to make this magazine the parents guide to youth sports, said Ms. D'Aversa- Williams. ''With soaring participation numbers in youth leagues around the country, we want to help parents and kids grow together in their sporting endeavors. We also want to help parents become better educated about what's available out there -- from new products to up-to-date research and valuable training guides.``

The premiere issue -- slated for August -- will initially reach more than 100,000 parents of kids throughout the United States. Each issue will be distributed through major sporting goods retail stores including Hibbett's Sporting Goods, The Athlete's Foot, Garts, Oshmans and sports recreational organizations and the public school systems in major cities. Retailers are being added and distribution will expand significantly in 2002.
