Marriott Launches New Guest Room Magazine

Marriott International, Inc. announced plans to launch Marriott Insights, a new guest room magazine available this fall at seven of the company's lodging brands. Developed by Wilton Publishing, Marriott Insights will be an advertising-supported monthly magazine featuring editorial content from major publications including Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Fortune, Golf Digest, PC Magazine, Shape and Motor Trend.

``Marriott is excited to offer its guests a high-quality magazine filled with the best in news and entertainment,'' said J.W. Marriott, Jr., chairman and CEO, Marriott International. ``Marriott Insights will add value to the overall guest experience across many of our lodging brands. It's also an amenity we encourage them to take home.''

Marriott Insights will be available in Marriott guestrooms in the U.S., with an initial circulation of one million and an estimated readership of four million. The 80-page, full-color magazine will target business travelers with average household incomes ranging from $80,000 to $125,000.

``We've tailored the content to reflect the demographics and lifestyles of the Marriott guest,'' said Richard Munro, charter founder of Wilton Publishing and former chairman of Time Inc. ``In addition to its unique editorial approach, Insights in-room distribution provides advertisers with uncluttered access to a key target market,'' added Munro.
