Dynamic Media to Launch American Life, DVD Magazine

Dynamic Media, Inc. has announced American Life, a magazine on DVD. Each issue of American Life has a table of contents and index printed on the back of each issue, and with a wide range of video sections, including a monthly feature story, food and wine, sports, travel, gadgets, health and entertainment (top 10 movie trailers, music videos, tape and DVD rentals, reviews and interviews).

Dynamic Media's mission is to become the global leader in publishing magazines on DVD. Dynamic Media announced the availability of American Life on the newsstand and by subscription, with the first issue appearing in January 2002. Each DVD issue of American Life will sell for $6.95 on newsstands and subscriptions by mail for $59 per year.

In a recent interview, Ian Jones, president of Dynamic Media, said: ``We are very excited about this new product, and although the first issue will not be on the newsstand till January 2002, we are expecting holiday pre-subscription sales to do very well. It is the perfect gift that keeps giving all year; it is great for any member of the family, a friend, or associate. Advertisers love this new format for getting information to the consumer marketplace. They know the person watching wants to see information. They are able to do extended commercials designed just for American Life. With testing we have found that the consumer is more responsive to the commercial when they are able to watch it when they want -- not in the middle of a television drama or a punchline in a comedy sitcom. Companies using DVD for marketing include BMW Films, Pontiac and Coca Cola Corporation.''
