Buy.com, an online store, has announced the first edition of its new magazine, called Buy.com Magazine. Buy.com says the magazine will launch with a large circulation of 5 million. The magazine will provide information about the latest gadgets and computers, such as wireless devices, music, digital cameras and PDAs. The magazine also provides editorial features that helps shoppers understand the latest electronic devices and what they can do.

The magazine is designed by Thinkbig Marketing Group, which calls the magazine a "direct purchase tool with editorial features." It sounds like a cross between a catalog and a magazine. There will be four issues of Buy.com Magazine each year. The publication launches with the newly released spring edition, which contains an article about the benefits of shopping online, as well as articles about LCD monitors, digital cameras and PDAs.

Buy.com founder Scott Blum says in a statement, "I believe that Buy.com has re-defined the way e-tailers communicate with their customers. Like all great technology magazines, our publication looks to educate our readership with more than just pictures and prices. As a magazine, our goal is to respond to our readers with the compelling articles they demand and continue to offer them the best products at the lowest prices."

Buy.com President Robert Price adds that they will feature products they have selected as the best in Buy.com Magazine. Price says, "This magazine has everything a person needs to make smart decisions when buying hardware and consumer electronics."
