United Entertainment Media (UEMedia) and the International Communications Industries Association, Inc. (ICIA) announced a partnership to produce projects for IT professionals. The joint projects are in conjunction with ICIA's InfoComm, June 8-14, 2002 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It will be a 40+ page, four color, glossy publication featuring breaking IT-AV convergence news and real world application stories. Coverage includes stories important to IT/AV technologies including DSP (audio and video), MPEG video routing/streaming, Web-based control systems, wireless technology, Natural Language Interface, digital ink (high resolution, large, flat emissive displays), and videoconferencing.

In addition, UEMedia and InfoComm will co-produce the IT-AV Summit -- a half day "How to Interface with the AV Industry" workshop that provides IT professionals with understanding of how the two industries converge.

United Entertainment Media, Inc. produces magazines, books, websites, trade shows and events for musicians and the professional audio, video, and installation industries. United Entertainment Media, Inc. is an operating division of CMP Information Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of United Business Media, plc.
