Line56 Magazine to Relaunch as Line56's E-Business Journal

Line56 Media, a provider of ebusiness publications, websites and conferences, announced it is repositioning Line56 magazine under a new format. The newly renamed Line56's E-Business Journal will be introduced this spring and will publish quarterly. The publication will also move to a paid subscription model.

Lester Craft, Editorial Director of Line56's E-Business Journal, noted that the move to a paid subscription model focused on original research is not only a solution to current publishing economics, but also is in line with reader needs.

"Line56 Media conducted extensive research in devising the new publishing model," Craft said. "Our readers have indicated a strong willingness to pay for information that can improve the quality of their business decisions. Line56's E-Business Journal will provide just that -- essential, actionable research designed specifically to assist e-business decision-makers."

Line56's E-Business Journal will focus on original research and interpretive analysis to assist decision-makers responsible for e-business in their organizations. Line56.com, which provides daily ebusiness news, newsletters and research services, will continue in its present format, as will the twice-yearly Line56Live events.

Paul Higgins, CEO of Line56 Media, added that successful publishing models in technology media no longer rely solely on print advertising. "Line56 Media's strategy from the outset has emphasized multi-platform components, including print, online newsletters, events, research and list rentals," said Higgins. "A paid-subscription model for Line56's E-Business Journal fits well into this mix. We are fortunate to have developed an approach that is properly aligned with the needs of the audience, and with the current media environment."

Line56 Media has headquarters in Los Angeles and publishing offices in New York. Its media websites include: line56media.com, line56.com, destinationCRM.com, destinationFFA.com and destinationKM.com.
