"This is a model partnership that leverages the best of our respective resources to better serve our existing constituencies and expand to new ones." "We're very excited about this opportunity to further The Times's commitment to education by partnering with McGraw-Hill Higher Education. This alliance will provide students with easy access across a variety of platforms to firsthand accounts of news events as reported in the newspaper and on the website by some of the world's finest journalists," said Scott Heekin-Canedy, senior vice president of circulation for The New York Times. The headline feeds will be placed in the McGraw-Hill Higher Education Online Learning Centers -- websites created to coordinate with nearly all of the available McGraw-Hill texts. The headlines will link back to The New York Times's website, NYTimes.com/college, where full text of the articles will be available at McGraw-Hill co-branded pages. The feed will be updated daily, reflecting breaking news coverage relevant to the specific content/discipline feed. The partnership will also include offering students a discount to the print or online edition of The New York Times. The Web feed/online initiative is expected to roll out in April; the student subscription program should be available this summer.
