Information Today Acquires Online, Inc. Assets

Information Today, Inc. has acquired the assets of Online Inc., a Wilton, Connecticut based publishing company and event producer. Information Today acquired Online magazine from Online, Inc. last year. Information Today reported that key Online Inc. personnel will stay on in the Wilton, Connecticut office, including former executives Andrew Pemberton, vice president & publisher; Adam Pemberton, president & CEO; and Nancy Garman, vice president, Conferences & Publications.

Online, Inc. was founded in 1976 and is a B2B media and event producer. The company publishes a variety of magazines, websites, and electronic newsletters for technology, information, and content professionals and produces a number of conferences and trade shows.

Adam Pemberton, president & CEO of Online, Inc., said, "Tom and I have discussed this combination several times over the years, and I'm very pleased with the structure and timing. The product combinations between Online and ITI are terrific, and so are the people in both organizations. I'm looking forward to working with the ITI team."

Information Today, Inc. is a publisher and conference organizer in the information and knowledge management industries. The company publishes information industry titles such as Information Today, Searcher, Online, Computers in Libraries, and KMWorld among others.

Tom Hogan, Sr., president of Information Today, Inc., said, "We are inheriting a legacy of editorial excellence and associating ourselves with a group of dedicated publishing and conference organizing professionals. Included in the acquisition are the publications EContent, a source for strategies and resources for the digital content industry, and EMedia, which covers the tools and technologies that professionals use to publish, archive, distribute, and network digital content. In addition, the conferences WebSearch University, Buying & Selling eContent, and Intranets (now co-located with KMWorld 2002) will now be produced and managed by Information Today, Inc.
