MediaTec Publishing Launches CLO Magazine

Posted on May 24, 2002

MediaTec Publishing Inc. has announced plans to launch CLO, Chief Learning Officer magazine, a new publication aimed at top corporate executives who are developing, implementing or funding enterprise-level workforce development programs. The premiere issue of CLO, Chief Learning Officer will mail Aug. 28, 2002 to 25,000 executives at major U.S. corporations.

"A properly developed work force is the key to success for companies of all sizes," said Norman B. Kamikow, president and editor in chief of MediaTec Publishing Inc. "Savvy business leaders know that education is a primary driver to success, and they know they need to train their teams to both survive and thrive. CLO, Chief Learning Officer helps them maximize opportunities, understand what is working for others and witness the results firsthand."

CLO will include articles helping executives make the most of employee training and education programs, expert columnists and industry leaders sharing their insights, case studies showing solutions used by executives, profiles of successful corporate executives and The Fairfield Report, original market research on corporate training. CLO, Chief Learning Officer magazine also has an electronic newsletter, CLO Executive Briefings, and a website.

"All market factors point to a resurgence in enterprise education with pressure on key executives to return bottom-line results to stockholders," said John R. Taggart, MediaTec's executive vice president and group publisher. "CLO is directed to the most difficult-to-reach executives of companies that employ 1,000 or more. Unlike other magazines, we drive the message of workforce education up from the training and HR departments into the executive suite, where approval and understanding is paramount."

MediaTec Publishing is a provider of education, training and career information. MediaTec publishes Certification Magazine, CertMag's StudyGuides, IT Contractor magazine and CLO, Chief Learning Officer magazine with electronic newsletters and websites for each publication.
