New Asia-Pacific Fashion Magazine Launching in July

Launching in mid July 2002, Solitaire is a regional bi-monthly fashion and trend publication, aimed at jewelry and watch connoisseurs in the Asia-Pacific region. Featuring celebrity covers and insider reporting supplied by a network of specialist correspondents in over ten countries, Solitaire will provide jewelry and watch trends and news. Solitaire is a joint venture between Hong Kong based private equity firm Asia Media Ltd.; the magazine's Publisher, Rainer Sigel; and the magazine's Managing Director, Michelle Tay.

Solitaire features include interviews and pictorials of celebrities and designers associated with the jewelry and watch world; travel pieces on primary production sites (such as opal mines); thoughtful how-to-buy features; history of jewelry and watch houses and industry pioneers; as well as stories on "in-your-face" jewelry (such as body piercing).

Solitaire will be published in English out of Singapore. The magazine will be circulated via general newsstands and paid subscription, plus selected first class airline compartments and lounges, as well as hotel suites and clubs throughout the entire Asia-Pacific region. Solitaire will also be sent free-of-charge to a 4,000-person list of industry contacts, comprising jewelry and watch manufacturers, plus jewelry and watch distributors, importers, designers and retailers.
