Friday, June 7, 2002 Media Cynic | Forum | Advertising | Classifieds | Jobs Monday the Most Popular Day to Surf The Web On average, Monday accounts for about 15% of Internet traffic for the week worldwide. In contrast, Saturday and Sunday account for the least amount of Internet traffic, with 13.5%, and 13.7% respectively. Traffic data for this study was gathered between May 20, 2001 and May 18, 2002. "What we're seeing is that people tend to surf the Internet during the workweek more than at home on the weekends," said Geoff Johnston, vice president of product marketing for StatMarket. "This may imply that much of their personal Web use takes place at work. Or perhaps people have better things to do on the weekend than surf the Internet." Breakdown of Surfer Traffic by Day of the Week (May 20, 2001 - May 18, 2002):
