IWJ Features Interviews With Jane Yolen and Janny Wurts

The June issue of The Internet Writing Journal (The IWJ), an award-winning online magazine, includes an interview with New York Times bestselling children's author Jane Yolen. Jane Yolen, the author of over 235 books, has written in all genres, from mystery to fantasy, and for all age groups, from adult to toddlers. In the interview, Janes discusses her latest book, The Firebird (HarperCollins), a retelling of the famous Russian folktale, and also shares the seven rules that every aspiring writer must know.

The June issue also features an interview with bestselling fantasy author and award-winning artist Janny Wurts, who is known for her vivid characters, imaginative worlds and lyrical writing style. The co-author with Raymond Feist of the blockbuster Empire series, Janny Wurts has drawn praise from critics and fans alike for her own epic series, The Wars of Shadow and Light, which has spanned over twenty years in the planning. In the interview, Janny discusses her dual careers as artist and author, her latest release in her bestselling series, Peril's Gate (Eos). She also gives some in-depth writing advice for aspiring authors.

The June issue's articles include "The Top Ten FAQs on the Business of Songwriting #3: Poetry vs. Lyrics" by syndicated radio show host and CEO of CQK Music & Records, Mary Dawson; "Collaborating: Right or Wrong" by Hazel Edwards and Goldie Alexander; "The Debate: Freelance Gigs vs a Staff Job" by Jonathan and Lisa Price; and "Manufacturing Inspiration" by Chris Gavaler. The issue also features picks from The IWJ's book reviewers in genres including: children's, computers, fantasy/sf/horror, mystery/thriller, nonfiction, romance and writing.
