iVillage and Rutledge Hill Press Ink Book Deal

iVillage Inc., a women's media company, and Rutledge Hill Press, publisher of the New York Times' bestsellers I Hope You Dance, the Life's Little Instruction Book series, and Cooking With Friends, announced that the companies have agreed to publish the iVillageSolutions Book Series. Rutledge Hill Press was acquired by Thomas Nelson, Inc. in 2000.

The first four books expected to be available in early 2003 are: Best Advice on Finding Mr. Right, Best Advice on Life After Baby Arrives, Quiz Therapy and Heirloom Recipes. These first four books are expected to launch during the first two quarters of 2003 with additional titles planned for the second half of 2003. iVillage will receive a share of royalties from the sale of all books.

iVillage and Rutledge plan to publish approximately 6 - 12 books a year. Topics will reflect content on iVillage.com and draw on anecdotes from iVillage visitors and editors. The books are slated to sell in major offline outlets including bookstores, mass merchandisers and gift boutiques. They will also be marketed and promoted throughout the iVillage network.

Larry Stone, Publisher of Rutledge Hill Press said, "Our expertise in publishing and selling books will expand iVillage's reach to a whole new audience. We look forward to a successful initiative and to publishing future titles with iVillage building off of their trusted content."
