DogFriendly.com Launches Monthly Online Magazine

Posted on August 9, 2002

DogFriendly.com, a provider of city guides and travel guides for dog owners, has launched a free online monthly magazine, DogFriendly.com Magazine. The magazine, dedicated to the dog who travels around town or around the nation, is published monthly and includes feature articles, showcase dog and pet-friendly travel destinations in the U.S. and Canada, topics of interest to people who travel with dogs, a special kids section, a monthly survey and other features.

The August edition contains a feature article on the real scoop on air travel with dogs of all sizes, alternatives to air travel and the issues to be considered when taking your dog on airplanes. It also discusses the etiquette that dog owners should consider when taking their dogs away from home in order to improve the experience for all. Washington, D.C. and Durango, Colorado are featured this month in the Destinations section of the magazine. Also featured are cruising on the lake in Chicago, the Regency Hotel in New York, the ultimate dog-friendly restaurant in Huntington Beach, California and the Dog Fancier's Park in Las Vegas. Kid's Corner is where children can color in a dog picture, explore dog photos, and learn about different breeds of dogs. There is also a monthly survey which, in August, surveys readers on what they would be willing to pay in order to travel by air with their dogs in the cabin.

"DogFriendly.com has been providing dog travel information since our inception in 1998", says Tara Kain, president of DogFriendly.com. "With the introduction of our magazine we provide the dog travel enthusiast with a place to go each month for new insight into the world of dog-friendly travel. We also look for feedback from our readers for future topics and articles, welcome letters to the editor and have a special section of the magazine for our readers to ask us questions on any topic of dog travel for possible inclusion in future issues."

The website also offers a downloadable printable version of the magazine, so that readers can print the entire magazine for reading at their convenience. DogFriendly.com also provides a searchable database with thousands of accommodations, parks, beaches, restaurants, and attractions that allow dogs. The company also publishes a series of nationwide and Canadian ebook travel guides and a printed paperback book for California and Nevada.
