The Knot Magazine Debuts On Newsstands

Posted on September 27, 2002

The Knot, a wedding media and services company, announced that The Knot Magazine has rolled out on newsstands nationwide. The magazine combines a bridal directory and shopping guide with wedding-related editorial. The Knot Magazine is available for $9.99 online at theknot.com, on newsstands, and in major bookstores.

The Knot Magazine is a searchable shopping guide for brides featuring wedding gowns, bridesmaid fashions, tuxedo styles, wedding jewelry, invitations, home products, and honeymoon packages. Within its 500+ pages, The Knot Magazine also includes editorial from The Knot staff. Editorial sections created by Editor-in-Chief Carley Roney and her staff cover major wedding planning decisions -- from fashion and beauty to honeymoon and home.

"Being the leader in online wedding planning services since 1996, we understand the nature of bridal behavior. Brides want to see every product and idea available for their weddings without frustration. In response, we have been able to redefine the bridal magazine to help brides plan their weddings with ease," says David Liu, cofounder & CEO of The Knot.

The Knot Inc. is a wedding media and services company. Its website, TheKnot.com, is an online wedding destination and a wedding content provider on MSN, Yahoo! and AOL. The Knot also publishes a national magazine, The Knot Magazine, and, through its subsidiary Weddingpages, Inc., publishes The Knot Weddingpages, regional wedding magazines that reach dozens of U.S. cities. In addition, the company publishes a wedding-planning book trilogy with Random House's Broadway Books and a gift book series with Chronicle Books. The Knot is based in New York and has several other offices across the country.
