Jupitermedia Corporation Launches DatabaseJournal.com

Posted on October 11, 2002

Jupitermedia Corporation (formerly INT Media) has announced the launch of DatabaseJournal.com, an online knowledge center for database professionals. The website will provide coverage of databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, IBM DB2, Sybase, MySQL and others. The site builds on several existing internet.com websites and email newsletters covering database technologies, including DBASupport.com, Swynk.com, SQLCourse.com and SQLCourse2.com.

"When a new vertical market opportunity arises within the Internet and IT industry, we can develop and serve the needs of these communities almost immediately," said Jupitermedia Chairman and CEO Alan M. Meckler. "The launch of DatabaseJournal.com is a prime example of how Jupitermedia continues to expand and strengthen its world-class proprietary content offerings and services, providing valuable resources for our user audience."

Jupitermedia's name was INT Media before it acquired Jupiter Reasearch -- and it went by the name of Internet.com before the change to INT Media. Jupitermedia operates the internet.com and EarthWeb.com Network of over 150 websites and 200 email newsletters. Jupitermedia also includes Jupiter Research, a leading international research advisory organization specializing in business and technology market research. Jupitermedia also runs offline conferences and trade shows focused on IT and business-specific topics through its Jupiter Events brand.
