"We believe that our new company-wide focus on the electronic gaming industry is the first of its kind," said Alan M. Meckler, Chairman and CEO of Jupitermedia Corporation. "These initiatives show how Jupitermedia is rapidly combining its research, content and events divisions to provide comprehensive coverage for industry professionals." Jupiter Research's new research initiative, entitled Personal Computer & Console Games, will be led by Jupiter Research Director Michael Gartenberg. The service delivers focused research on the game space for video and PC game vendors and platform providers, helping video game and interactive media companies understand consumer adoption of new and evolving consoles, platforms and other entertainment hubs for gaming, while also directing companies on how to maximize revenues associated with these consumer behavior patterns. Jupitermedia has also launched GameMarketWatch.com, an online resource for industry news and information about next-generation, Internet-enabled consoles and the technology that drives them. GameMarketWatch.com provides news, company profiles and product reviews for the video/PC game vendor and platform industries.
