Intermezzo, Food, Travel and Wine Magazine, Hits Newsstands

Posted on November 15, 2002

Intermezzo, a new bi-monthly fine food and wine, home and travel magazine, has debuted on newsstands nationwide. Intermezzo is published by T.F. Associates, Inc., a Massachusetts corporation that has specialized in publication production since 1986. The magazine is distributed by Curtis Circulation and is carried by Barnes & Noble, Borders, Walden-books and other retail outlets nationwide.

Publisher and Editorial Director Roseann Tully said, "We have created Intermezzo in response to readers' requests for an interesting, quality magazine that offers an escape from the stress of everyday life. What makes Intermezzo different is its broad, yet detailed, coverage of fine food and wine, home decor/renovation and travel, all in one beautifully written and photographed magazine."

Publishing bi-monthly, Intermezzo's premiere issue highlights include: One Amazing Street in London; Flavors of Tuscany: A Cooking School Vacation; Ming Tsai's Chinese Fire Pot Party; Creating the Perfect Pantry; Famous Chefs' Signature Recipes; Crepes Made Easy; Tearooms Across America and South African Wine Tour. The magazine's content is designed so that cooks at all levels can improve their technique and expand their repertoire. The travel features highlight new ways to travel and experience food and wine.

Tully said subscription orders have been coming in for the past year. She expects a circulation at 275,000 in 2003. Tully's editorial team has past experience working with entertainment, food and travel magazines.

"Our editors and contributors have written for Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Cooks Illustrated, Chocolatier, Walking, Cigar Aficionado, Antiques and others," she notes. We have a great mix of youthful enthusiasts and experienced writers who understand that our average 40-year old reader is too busy to read 6 or 7 magazines every month. Intermezzo puts it all in one package."
