Balance Magazine Launches to Help People Get Organized

Posted on January 24, 2003

Balance is a new magazine which was launched by RJ Publishing, LLC last Fall. The magazine is devoted to helping people get organized and will be published six times per year. Each issue of the magazine will feature profiles of successful women working with professional organizers to develop systems that fit their individual personalities and lifestyles.

The magazine uses tools such as perforated pages, thematic tie-ins across issues, transferable reminders, and checklists to move readers from thinking about getting organized to actually getting started. Future issues of Balance will cover themes of the wardrobe, time management, hobbies, organizing old photographs, travel, school, work and the kitchen.

Balance is built on the premise that achieving ones fullest potential requires a system of organization and planning. We teach women how to effectively manage time at work, home, and play, says Editor Yanique Redwood-Jones.

Many Balance writers are members of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), a nonprofit professional organization that includes organizing consultants, speakers, authors, and manufacturers of organizing products. Founded in 1985, NAPO has over 1,600 members across the U.S. and in several foreign countries.

Balance celebrated its launch during National Get Organized (GO) Week last fall. The Winter 2003 issue features articles on helping couples get organized, procrastination, time management, organizing a shopping routine and pantry space, and fitting a fitness routine into your life.
