Delmar Learning Acquires Frontline Publishing

Delmar Learning, a provider of lifelong learning educational resources and part of The Thomson Corporation, has announced its acquisition of Frontline Publishing. The Somerville, Massachusetts, company will now be part of the Health Care Strategic Business Unit at Delmar Learning. Frontline brings to Delmar Learning its model for training and professional development for healthcare workers in the "front line" of care in long term care facilities like nursing homes and assisted living centers.

Through its monthly newsletters, Frontline Publishing has provided training to enable caregivers to meet the increasingly complex requirements of consumers and regulatory agencies. Delmar Learning will expand the Frontline newsletters and training by drawing from its Nursing and Allied Health content. Delmar Learning will also make many of these training materials available online. Three Frontline newsletters will also complement Delmar's book products which include the titles: The Nursing Assistant's Survival Guide, The Family Member's Survival Guide and Leading the Way.

Bill Brottmiller, executive director of the health care strategic business unit said, "Delmar Learning is pleased to strengthen its professional information resources to complement its leading education content in long term care. Frontline offers the kind of quality products that fit with Delmar Learning's reputation in the long term health care market."
