Farm Journal Media Launches Beef Today Website
At the National Cattlemen's Beef
Association's annual convention, Farm Journal Media announced
the launch of the website for the business publication
Beef Today at BeefToday.com. The new site is a part of
AgWeb.com.
"BeefToday.com is something we're excited to offer beef producers,"
said Steve Cornett, editor of Beef Today. "The site allows
us to provide our subscribers with fresh industry information and insight
and also gives us the platform to become an information source for a
wider variety of producers and beef industry professionals."
Features on BeefToday.com include:
- Beef Today Magazine Articles and Archives: The latest
issue of Beef Today is available online, as are stories from
past issues. Additional story information will also be provided
online by Beef Today editors. Articles featuring a "Web Extra" icon in the magazine
will have follow-up information available on the site.
- Today's News: Picking up where the Today's News department in the
magazine leaves off, this section will feature timely news and quotes
impacting the U.S. beef industry.
- Beef Today Leaders: Information on the Beef Today
Ladd Hitch Award, an annual award given to recognize innovative
beef industry producers and leaders, is available online. Details
include background on Ladd Hitch and the award named for him, as
well as a list of past winners and an article on the 2002 winners.
- Editorial Contacts and Information: Beef Today editors
and experts will be featured, so producers can find out more
about -- and get in contact with -- the people who write for
the magazine.
Beef Today is received by over 100,000 owners,
managers and other titled personnel on commercial beef
operations with more than 100 beef
cows, stockers or fed beef. Veterinarians, nutritionists and
feed lots also qualify to receive the publication. The magazine
is published nine times per year and also features a demographic segment called
Beef Today Business Journal, which is sent to U.S. producers with 500
or more beef cows, stockers or fed beef.
