Gallup Organization Launches Poll Data Archive Resource

Posted on March 14, 2003

The Gallup Organization, a provider of measurement and analysis of public attitudes and opinions, has launched the Gallup Brain, an online public database of more than 60 years of Gallup polls and analysis. The Gallup Brain is the Gallup Poll's archive of public opinion that contains responses to more than 125,000 questions asked by the Poll since 1935. The Gallup Brain database also contains past and current Gallup Poll News Service articles that feature poll analysis and news stories.

"The Gallup Brain is being offered to the public as a unique and extensive resource for researching public opinion and as an important news resource," said George Gallup Jr., co-chairman of the Gallup Poll. "With the Brain, we are providing a gateway to Gallup's comprehensive historical database which was once reserved for academic pursuits and political leaders."

Subscribers to the Gallup Brain receive access through Gallup's premium news publication -- The Gallup Poll Tuesday Briefing. The Tuesday Briefing provides a weekly summary and analysis of the latest proprietary Gallup Poll findings, delivering original articles focusing on topics relating to Government, Healthcare, Religion, Education and Finance. A one-year subscription to Gallup's Tuesday Briefing costs $95.
