Greenspun Media and SoBe News Launch Vegas Magazine

The Greenspun Media Group (GMG), publisher of several Las Vegas magazines, and SoBe News Inc., publisher of Ocean Drive magazine, have formed a new company to produce Vegas Magazine, an upscale, affluent national lifestyle magazine for Las Vegas.

Vegas Magazine promises to uncover a world of sensuality, sizzle, indulgence, opulence, celebrity and fashion beginning with the July 2003 debut issue, featuring supermodel Heidi Klum on the cover. The publication will keep readers up on the latest parties, premieres, exclusive events, openings and celebrity happenings each month. "Fame Game" features today's hottest celebrities and the juiciest gossip in and out of Las Vegas, "Desert Patrol" reports on rising stars and the people to watch and "The Strip" covers the haute Vegas nightlife scene filled with pictorial pages of the most sought-after glitterati and celebrities.

Michael T. Carr, former president of Playboy, and Jerry Powers, Ocean Drive publisher, will be co-publishers of Vegas Magazine. The magazine will be available in the Las Vegas market and widely distributed throughout newsstands in key feeder cities including: Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Miami.

Greenspun Media Group is based in Henderson, Nev. GMG's primary businesses include the weekly newspaper and magazine publications, In Business Las Vegas, Las Vegas Life magazine, Las Vegas Weekly, The Ralston Report, ShowBiz Weekly, ShowBiz Japan and VegasGolfer Magazine. GMG also consists of the Las Vegas Sun daily newspaper, the website Vegas.com and Las Vegas One, an all-news cable channel.

Ocean Drive magazine, celebrating its tenth year, is a magazine for South Florida capturing glamour, fashion and the social scene. The magazine targets the sophisticated reader seeking an entertaining source of fashion, travel, art trends and a guide to finer living. Ocean Drive magazine is published under SoBe News Inc. which also publishes Ocean Drive en Espanol, Ocean Drive Venezuela, Ocean Drive Australia and Ocean Drive Mexico.
