Jeff Pulver Launches VON Magazine

Posted on June 13, 2003

Jeff Pulver, Founder and CEO of pulver.com and the VON Conferences, has announced the creation and launch of VON Magazine, a publication specifically for people involved in the IP Communications industry and their customers. VON Magazine will debut in September at Pulver.com's Fall 2003 VON Tradeshow and Expo in Boston, September 22-25 at the Hynes Convention Center.

"Our reasoning was simple," said Pulver. "This industry has not -- until now -- had a publication that addresses the specific needs of both the enterprise buyer, service provider, vendor community and the rest of the industry as a whole. VON Magazine will explain, educate and showcase the most important developments, products and services available today and in the future. Furthermore, VON Magazine will provide a forum where the industry's ideas and opinions will be presented by noted luminaries. I am particularly excited about our cover stories which will feature an in depth interview with a Pioneer from the IP Communications industry."

Richard Grigonis, formerly of Computer Telephony Magazine and author of four books, including The Computer Telephony Encyclopedia, will serve as Editor-in-Chief. Columnists include: Kevin Werbach, former Editor of Release 1.0 and Counsel for New Technology Policy at the FCC; David S. Isenberg who, after 12 years at AT&T Bell Labs, awoke an industry by authoring The Rise of the Stupid Network; and Cody Willard, president of CL Willard Capital, writer for TheStreet.com and a regular on CNBC's Kudlow & Kramer.

Nick Morley, a salesperson from CMP Media LLC, has accepted the position of Vice President of Advertising Sales. Maury Kauffman, fax technology consultant and author of the book, Internet and Computer Based Faxing is the company's Vice President and General Manager.

Jeff Pulver founded pulver.com at the end of 1994. In addition to producing the VON conferences, pulver.com is engaged in many activities that promote the growth of communication technology. The pulver.com website provides information for those in the IP Communications industry and The Pulver Report, which has over 50,000 subscribers.
