Oxford Publishing Launches Salud! Magazine

Posted on July 25, 2003

Oxford Publishing Inc., is launching Salud! y Buen Provecho (cheers and bon appetit), a national magazine for Latino/Hispanic bars, clubs and restaurants reflecting the full range of the nation's Latino/Hispanic culture. Salud! will be paired with Oxford Publishing's Fiesta Latina, an annual Latino/Hispanic-focused convention and trade show for bars, clubs and restaurants. The show recently debuted in San Diego.

"Salud! and Fiesta Latina may be the most important growth opportunities we have ever offered our advertising and exhibitor partners," said Ed Meek, president and CEO of Oxford Publishing. "This market is huge and growing faster than any other market segment."

The magazine will be published quarterly, beginning in October. Salud! will have a distinctive Latino-style. The magazine's content will include profiles of successful operators, products, promotions and industry news. Salud!'s 20,000 subscribers include venue owners and managers utilizing Latino/Hispanic beverage, food and promotions influenced by Mexican, Cuban, Puerto Rican, South American, Caribbean, Spanish and Central American origins.

"In Latino/Hispanic venues across the nation, as well as in mainline bars and restaurants with specialized Latin promotions and programs, these consumers and many other American consumers are speaking the international language -- money -- loud and clear," Meek said. "Salud! will help operators translate that spending power into profits."

Oxford Publishing Inc. publishes the trade magazines: Nightclub & Bar; Beverage & Food Restaurant Marketing; and Beer, Wine & Spirits Beverage Retailer -- and now Salud! y Buen Provecho. The four publications reach a total circulation of more than 90,000 beverage and food industry professionals. The company also produces the International Nightclub & Bar/Beverage Retailer Beverage & Food Convention and Trade Show, the world's largest beverage and food show, and the Beverage & Food Fiesta Latina Convention and Trade Show.
