"This online application is beautiful because kids view it not as educational, but just plain fun. It's also a great for educators and parents to teach kids a bit about poetry and expressing oneself." The site features five different word lists including Magnetic Poetry's Kid's Kit, First Words, Storymaker, Best Friends and Dog Lover. To use the anthology kids choose a word kit, a background or "word playground" (a fridge, locker or clipboard) and begin clicking and dragging words to instantly create poetry. When kids create something they are especially proud of, they can send it to up to three of their friends and post it to the Kids Poetry Collection website. Or if they'd like to start over, they just click reset and try again. The online version of Magnetic poetry is recommended for kids ages 4 and up. From humble beginnings in 1993 as a struggling songwriter's creative exercise, Magnetic Poetry now markets over 100 products for writers and readers, artists, romantics, gardeners, kids and teens and everyone in between. Magnetic Poetry has graced "Seinfeld's" fridge, been used by publishers, authors, celebrities, song writers, poet laureates, and corporate America (including Lands' End, Starbucks, VW, Diet Coke, Nike and Mercedes Benz) and has been featured in dozens of TV shows and feature films.
