2003 Gamers' Choice Awards Announced

Electronic Gaming Monthly, a Ziff Davis Media publication, has announced the winner's of the 2003 Gamers' Choice Awards. The awards, selected by the publication's editorial staff, honor the best video and PC games of 2003. The winners were published in the March 2004 issue. 1UP.com, Ziff Davis Media's online videogame destination, also features the winners.

The editor's top picks for the winners spanned seven categories. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, developed by Ubisoft beat runner-up Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, by just one vote for Game of the Year. Among the other awards, the popular game Soul Calibur II, developed by Namco took Multiplatform Game of the Year. Games of the year for each platform including, PlayStation, Xbox, GameGube and Game Boy Advance were announced as well as an award for technical achievement.
