Arizona Technology Magazine Launches

The Arizona Technology Council has launched TechConnect. The premier issue debuted on February 27th. The publication will cover the state's technology industry. TechConnect will be distributed nationally and globally via various economic development groups and will appear in limited distribution in March issues of bizAZ, the East Valley Tribune, Inside Tucson Business, and The Phoenix Business Journal.

A publication of the Arizona Technology Council, and developed and produced in partnership with the Arizona Department of Commerce and the Southern Arizona Tech Council, TechConnect will be published three times per year, and will explore the region's leading companies, under-the-radar change agents and the latest industry trends and issues propelling the state into high-tech player status. The second and third issues are planned for June and September, 2004.

"The premier issue of TechConnect represents a key milestone in the growth of Arizona's technology sector," said Todd Bankofier, President and CEO, Arizona Technology Council. "With its global reach and by being the only Arizona publication specifically devoted to technology and innovation, we now have the vehicle necessary to communicate the gospel of Arizona's technology assets to the widest possible audience."

The Arizona Technology Council currently represents over 30,000 employees across more than 400 of the leading technology companies in industries including advanced manufacturing, aerospace, biotechnology, e-learning, environmental technology, software/internet, semiconductor, and telecommunications. The Council is led by its president, Todd Bankofier, chairman of the board, Paul Johnson, an appointed executive committee and a board of directors comprised of a cross-section of academic, private and public sector professionals.
