The half-day seminar will focus on balancing corporate integrity with profitability and will feature open discussion between local c-level executives and Sherron S. Watkins, the former vice president of Enron who alerted Ken Lay to accounting irregularities within the company. "Many of the business leaders we talk to, particularly those with public companies, have found themselves in a dangerous situation, caught between shareholders demanding value and an increasingly difficult-to-follow maze of new legal regulations and requirements," says Texas Lawyer publisher Mike Orren. "Some are even thinking of leaving their positions because of the legal dangers and liabilities. Executive Legal Adviser is designed to keep them in the game."
