New Political Magazine to Launch in November

Posted on September 10, 2004

The New Frontier, a national political monthly magazine, will be launched in November, following the initial rollout of its companion website, TheNewFrontier.us, which coincided with the Republican National Convention in August. The publication's publisher and editor-in-chief is Helen O' Donnell, daughter of Presidential chief political adviser and strategist to Presidents Kennedy and Johnson, Kenneth P. O'Donnell.

"The time is right, and we are committed to bringing a new vision of the impact of some of the key forces which shape our society at all levels, for good or ill, to today's citizens and today's culture," said Helen O' Donnell. "More than ever, people really want to have a say in the direction of their country, and 'The New Frontier' will not only help give them that voice, but will reflect the dynamic -- and sometimes absurd -- interplay between politics, media, entertainment and government."

With an initial circulation set at 250,000, The New Frontier will be published in collaboration with Congressional Quarterly. The magazine aims to address the increasingly busy intersection between politics, lifestyle and entertainment. The magazine will take a non-partisan stance through its editorial coverage, some of which includes features, public forums, photography, comedy, feautres of up-and-coming influential people, advice from political leaders, an editor's letter and a Dear Mr. President letter from a celebrity.

"With The New Frontier, we have an enormous opportunity to create a new legacy of political dialogue in this country, and we intend on presenting it in the most compelling and dynamic way possible," said O' Donnell. "We know that readers from all walks of life are genuinely looking forward to The New Frontier, and we realize that have a great responsibility to remain true to the original vision of George and to the sense of mission and loyalty it inspired."

As part of the launch of The New Frontier, O' Donnell has founded a not-for-profit organization, Citizens Restoration Corporation (CRC) which, in part, is dedicated to improving America's small business base in partnership with incubation centers around the nation. The New Frontier will have offices in Los Angeles, DC and Boston. Its website, TheNewFrontier.us, will feature exclusive content and be updated daily.
