Variety Launches Vlifemag.com

Variety has announced the launch of its new luxury consumer website, Vlifemag.com, an online companion to VLife magazine which chronicles the people and passions of entertainment. VLife premiered in March of 2003 and now Variety is now trying to transfer VLife magazine's content and style to the Internet.

Variety says Vlifemag.com translates the irreverent spirit and slick design of the magazine with the timeliness that isn't available in print. The online version contains information from the print publication with new stories posted daily, plus content created exclusively for the online version, including daily party photos and coverage. Vlifemag.com will also house TheStylephile.com, a website for sample sales, trunk shows, bargains and store openings.

"VLifemag.com will take the hallmarks of VLife -- startling, original photography and smart writing -- and translate them into a web-friendly format. From bars to cars to fashion, it's an insider's perspective of the creative ways in which industry-ites work and play, supplemented by an exclusive trove of photo features and party coverage," said Tom Tapp, Executive Editor, VLife.
