National Lampoon and Majestic Plan PG and PG13 Films
National Lampoon has formed National Lampoon Clubhouse, a joint venture entity with Lorenzo Doumani's Majestic Entertainment that will result in a series of PG and PG13-rated theatrical and direct-to-video films. With National Lampoon Clubhouse, National Lampoon enters the world of family entertainment for the first time. Lorenzo Doumani, CEO of Majestic Entertainment and Majestic Resorts, will head National Lampoon Clubhouse as its President. Clubhouse is expected to release three full-length feature films per year, with budgets ranging from three to ten million dollars. The first three releases will be based on original stories by Doumani. Clubhouse's first film, Trick or Treat, is described as a scary comedy planned for a Halloween release.
