Cahners Changes Name to Reed Business Information

Cahners is dropping its name in a rebranding effort. Cahners Business Information announced it is changing its name to Reed Business Information (RBI), effective immediately. Accompanying the new name, Reed Business Information will unveil a new corporate identity that will more closely align it with Reed Elsevier.

Reed Business Information now incorporates Cahners Business Information (U.S.), Elsevier Business Information (Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain and Italy), and Reed Business Information (U.K., Asia and Australia), which together with Reed Exhibitions (Worldwide) form Reed Business. Reed's media publications include Variety, Multichannel News, Wireless Week, Broadcasting & Cable Publishers Weekly, Library Journal and others.

"This rebranding initiative driven by Reed Elsevier will further extend our market leadership position, as well as more effectively communicate the excellence of our products to global customers, suppliers, governments, trade associations and investors," said Jim Casella, CEO, Reed Business Information U.S. "Our global resources create new platforms for growth and will enable us to further our commitment to our customers, publications and service companies."

"We are confident that Reed Business Information's global resources will provide more valuable data, targeted marketing and trend reports, while continuing to provide us with the information we have always relied upon."
