Posted on April 17, 1998

CNET: The Computer Network will create the first nationally syndicated television program affiliated with an online service when the TV.COM series becomes Snap! Presents TV.COM. Beginning the weekend of April 17, CNET's Snap! service will become the online companion to the weekly, half-hour series, which is broadcast in over 120 markets nationwide. The announcement was made today by Dan Sexton, senior vice president, CNET Television, and executive producer of the series.

Each week, Snap! Presents TV.COM will bring viewers the program that highlights new and interesting websites and services, free software to download and tools and tricks for getting around the Web. Snap! will provide additional information to viewers who want to learn more about what they saw on the show, plus additional resources within Snap!'s directory and content channels.

In addition to Snap! Presents TV.COM, CNET Television currently has a two-hour programming block on USA Network's Sci-Fi Channel entitled CNET: The Digital Domain, comprising The Web, CNET Central and The New Edge. CNET's flagship series, CNET Central, also appears on the USA Network. Daily technology inserts for local news broadcasts around the country are also produced by CNET Television. The company's programming reaches an estimated eight million viewers every week.
