Wall Street Journal Launches SafeHouse, WikiLeaks Rival

Posted on May 6, 2011

The Wall Street Journal has launched a WikiLeaks rival called SafeHouse. In a tweet, the WSJ called its WSJ SafeHouse a "a secure way to share confidential documents with us." The website says it will keep your identity anonymous or confidential, if required.

It is understandable that the Wall Street Journal wants access to leaked documents, but it is not clear that people will feel as secure sending them off to an newspaper owned by media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Update: The Wall Street Journal's SafeHouse has been closed.
