AMA Site Relaunches After Major Redesign

Posted on November 18, 1997

The AMA has redesigned its website based on feedback from visitors to the site. The site's very new "look and feel" is cleaner, crisper and faster. The Association let feedback from its target audiences direct the redesign. Several on-line surveys were conducted about the AMA Website. One on one interviews with over 100 individuals representing member physicians and medical students, allied health professionals and consumers, were concluded and provided numerous good suggestions.

The redesigned site is more interactive. At the Post Office you can comment directly on any section of the site. In addition, a special NEW Members-Only Site now provides AMA member physicians with a non-public area to streamline the delivery of their benefits and services as well as to increase member input in guiding and building a stronger, more valuable AMA. An exciting new initiative is Issue of the Month. Each month an issue affecting the practice and discipline of medicine is featured. Relevant background information on the issue is provided. We then poll the opinions of our members and report back the results.
