America Online has announced a new alliance with National Public Radio. Under this agreement, programming from NPR will be integrated into AOL's News Channel. As a key programming partner in AOL's News Channel, NPR will provide national and international news coverage and in-depth analysis.

"More and more people are turning to AOL's News Channel 24 hours a day to read the latest in daily and breaking news," said Jonathan Sacks, Senior Vice President of AOL Interactive Services. "Our alliance with National Public Radio brings one of the most trusted names in journalism to AOL News and keeps us at the forefront of the increasing trend in online news consumption by providing timely, comprehensive and interactive coverage."

"This agreement brings select NPR news and commentary to the AOL community," said Kevin Klose, President and Chief Executive Officer at NPR. "Now, top NPR stories and analysis can be explored online through this interactive environment."
