Billboard and Twitter Partner for Real-Time Music Charts

Billboard and Twitter have partnered for the Billboard Twitter Real-Time Charts. The first chart launched by Billboard is the Trending 140, which Billboard describes as an "up to the minute ranking of songs shared in the U.S., measured by acceleration over the past hour." It is also described as the fastest moving songs on Twitter over the past hour. Kanye West's "God Level" is leading the Trending 140 as of this writing.

Billboard says the following data is used to create the chart: Billboard has also launched an Emerging Artists chart. A FAQ about the charts can be found here.
