Broadcast.com, an aggregator and distributor of streaming media programming on the Web, announced an exclusive agreement to provide Internet broadcasting services for the series of Forbes business conferences scheduled for 1998-1999. Under the terms of the agreement, broadcast.com will provide turnkey Internet broadcasting services to deliver live and on-demand audio and video for ten Forbes conference events over the course of one year.

Broadcast.com will also provide Forbes with e-commerce functionality to enable selected broadcasts to be delivered on a pay-per-view basis. Both Forbes and broadcast.com will be selling sponsorship packages for the events, including banner and audio and video gateway advertisements.

"Broadcast.com brings Forbes conference speakers and their invaluable insights right to your desktop," said Christopher Y. Clark, Vice President and General Manager, Forbes Management Conference Group. "It's the next best thing to being there."

"We pioneered the concept of broadcasting business-oriented events on the Internet and since then have successfully delivered over 2,100 events through our Business Services Group," said Todd Wagner, Chief Executive Officer of broadcast.com. "It is through this experience that we are able to provide Forbes with superior service as well as a business audience accustomed to using broadcast.com as their source for live broadcasts of high-level industry events. We are very pleased to be establishing this long-term partnership with Forbes to bring their outstanding conferences to the Internet."
