BusinessMedia to Launch in December

Posted on October 7, 1999

Crawford Communications, LLC has announced its plans to launch BusinessMedia in December of this year. BusinessMedia will exclusively cover the business-to-business media, marketing and advertising industry. BusinessMedia will create a news source and forum for marketing and media strategists within general (non-trade specific) business-to-business industries.

Explaining the need for such a publication, the publisher, Joseph DiPietro cites a major dilemma b-to-b marketers face every day: "There is massive fragmentation in the industry. On the media side, there are several hundred business publications for marketers to choose from in four distinct, yet overlapping, categories: newspaper business sections, national business publications, local business journals and now, online business publications." He goes on to say, "BusinessMedia will provide a much-needed and currently unavailable publication where these complex media choices, trends and strategies can be reported on and analyzed."

BusinessMedia, published monthly, will include content dealing with b-to-b campaigns, industry news, media providers, b-to-b agency news, b-to-b product and service launches, research, strategic media planning, newsmaking individuals and career issues. BusinessMedia will also produce an online version and provide forums, trade shows and events. BusinessMedia's circulation of 25,000 will be primarily directed to media decision-makers and strategists within b-to-b companies and b-to-b advertising agencies. Publishing executives will round out the circulation base.
