Centropolis Interactive To Launch IF Magazine

Noted Hollywood journalist Alex Ben Block will bring his expertise on the entertainment industry to the pages of Centropolis Interactive's on-line publications. Block, who was the editor of The Hollywood Reporter for seven years, will be a freelance contributor to both Centropolis' Sci-Fi Portal and the soon to be launched IF Magazine, created by Centropolis Interactive in collaboration with the Independent Film Channel (IFC).

Block will serve as business editor of IF Magazine, which launches March 19 at ifctv.com. His contributions will include an in-depth look at the process of marketing, distributing and exhibiting forthcoming independent films as well as the creation of a weekly box office analysis dedicated to independent films.

In addition to his tenure at The Hollywood Reporter, Block is the author of the bestseller The Legend of Bruce Lee, which has sold over four million copies, as well as OUTFOXED: The Inside Story of America's Fourth Television Network. He has received a number of honors including the Los Angeles Press Club Award for the Best Entertainment Story of the Year. Currently, he provides commentary on the business of show business on Los Angeles' KNX-AM weekdays at 1:55 p.m.
