CMP Media to Launch Healthcare Enterprise

InformationWeek, an IT media brand, in conjunction with Optimize, announced that it will launch a new editorial publication called Healthcare Enterprise in November 2003. This new quarterly publication will address the needs of IT professionals in the healthcare industry. The publication will become a component of InformationWeek's Media Network.

InformationWeek's Media Network consists of Optimize, as well as its Vertical Industry Network publications; Bank Systems and Technology, Insurance and Technology and Wall Street and Technology, Government Enterprise and now, Healthcare Enterprise. Healthcare Enterprise will offer big-picture analysis of healthcare issues such as increased competition, government regulations, and watchdog groups and provide a model for healthcare companies on how to aggressively use technology to tackle a formidable list of issues, including compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accounting Act (HIPAA) policies, a nationwide shortage of nurses, and spiraling operational costs. Healthcare Enterprise's goal is to help healthcare innovators effectively deal with challenges by learning how to utilize IT to optimize processes, reduce mistakes, improve supply chain efficiency and to advance medical technology.
