Context, a strategy magazine for top executives in the digital age, published by Diamond Technology Partners Incorporated, has announced that Edward (Ned) C. Frey has joined the magazine as associate publisher. Frey is a 27-year veteran of the advertising sales and publishing industries. Frey will report directly to Lisa Laing, Context publisher.

"Ned's depth of experience in publishing, combined with his track record on new magazine launches, will be extremely valuable in strengthening the Context management team," said Laing. "He will guide the transition from our current launch phase to a fast growth phase, building on our strong foundation."

Prior to joining Context, Frey held various managerial positions in financial media, managing departments in advertising sales and marketing. In his most recent position, Frey served as publisher of Mutual Funds Magazine, now a division of Time, Inc. Earlier in his career, Frey was the associate publisher of the American Banker. Before that, Frey was the first vertical market manager focused specifically on the financial services market at Business Week. Frey holds a bachelor's degree in English from Colgate University. He resides in Weston, Connecticut.

A bi-monthly publication now available on newsstands and by subscription, Context was launched by Diamond Technology Partners in 1997. Its articles, case histories and trend stories examine a variety of real-life responses to rapid changes in competition, industry structures and customer behavior. Regular interviews provide the thoughts of such management and technology luminaries as Peter Drucker, Bill Gates, Nicholas Negroponte, and Gordon Moore.
