Context Names Edward Frey Publisher

Context, a two-year-old magazine covering business strategies for the digital age, has announced it has promoted Edward (Ned) C. Frey to Publisher, effective immediately. Frey has been serving as Associate Publisher of the magazine, a publication of Diamond Technology Partners Incorporated. Context seeks to inform senior business executives about the strategic implications of information technology. A heavy focus of the magazine is on how established businesses can adapt to the developing world of e-commerce.

Frey, former publisher of Mutual Funds magazine, joined Context in 1999. He is stepping up to the position held by publisher Lisa Laing, now on maternity leave, who will assume a new post upon her return. Laing, Context publisher since 1998, brought Context to selected newsstands nationwide and created a paid subscription programe. She also oversaw the transition of Context from quarterly to bimonthly frequency.

"Ned's depth of experience has been an incredible asset in the transition from our launch phase to our current rapid growth phase," says Laing. "He will be a strong leader as we solidify our premier position in the world of digital age business magazines and explore new business opportunities."
