CSMGI to Develop Low Budget Films

Posted on February 27, 2005

Consolidated Sports Media Group Inc. announced that it will provide various business and development related services for new low budget films to be announced in the near future. CSMGI's goal is to represent and assist in the distribution of a series of low budget independent feature films in the documentary genre. Initially these films will be introduced to the film industry through traditional distribution methods.

CSMGI's said it has developed relationships with distributors, studios, directors, writers, actors, graphic designers, and craftspeople that should allow CSMGI the opportunity to develop a niche market in the feature film industry much the way it has in the home video market place.

"I think we can be very competitive with $250,000 to $2,500,000 budget films because the dynamics of film making in this genre, has drastically changed thanks to documentaries like Fahrenheit 911 and Super Size Me. These films are often created to appeal to a wide audience and shot on inexpensive new digital video formats, which ultimately provides lower risk opportunities," said Scott Schepper, CEO.
