CTW Names Thea Feldman Group Vice President, General Manager, Book Publishing

Children's Television Workshop (CTW) has named Thea Feldman Group Vice President, General Manager, Book Publishing, announced Gary Knell, Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and President/CEO-elect, CTW. Feldman will be responsible for overseeing the book publishing editorial and marketing functions worldwide for the Workshop. In this capacity, she will be developing new Sesame Street titles, coordinating the Dragon Tales publishing program and creating new titles in conjunction with Random House, CTW's strategic book publishing partner.

Most recently, Feldman was Senior Vice President and Publisher at Golden Books Family Entertainment. At Golden, Feldman was involved in creative direction, budgeting, organization and management of trade and mass market departments developing approximately 250 new titles a year. Prior to Golden, Feldman was Editorial Director at Disney Press and has also worked at Simon and Schuster and Crown Publishers.

"Thea's impressive experience and creativity will help lead the Workshop reach its full potential in becoming a major player in children's literature," said Knell. "We welcome her spirit and energy to CTW and to the Publishing team."

Children's Television Workshop (CTW) is a non-profit company using media to educate and engage children and families worldwide. In September, CTW launched Dragon Tales, a co-production with Columbia Tristar Television Group, on PBS, and several of CTW's past award-winning programs, including The Electric Company, 3-2-1 Contact, and Square One TV, can now be found on Noggin, CTW and Nickelodeon's educational cable network for children. CTW magazines include Sesame Street Magazine, Sesame Street Parents, Kid City, Contact Kids, and Padres de Sesame Street.
