Desert Publications Acquires Sand to Sea Magazine

Milton Jones, president of Desert Publications Inc., and publisher of Palm Springs Life magazine, and Gloria Greer, president and publisher of Sand to Sea magazine, have announced the consolidation of the two magazines by the acquisition of Sand to Sea by Palm Springs Life. Sand to Sea will be a special supplement of Palm Springs Life, June 1999 issue.

Greer will become a consulting executive editor of Palm Springs Life. Greer also will be editor of a new section in Palm Springs Life, "The Desert Charity Register," that will appear initially in the November 1999 issue. This section will be a guide to all of the Coachella Valley's philanthropic organizations and related events.

Jones said, "Palm Springs Life's acquisition of Sand to Sea is another clear manifestation of our deep commitment to an in-depth coverage of the life style of all of Southern California, as well as the Coachella Valley, our main area of emphasis. Gloria and I have been good friends and competitors for many years, and it is wonderful to now have her as a part of our organization."

Greer said, "I am thrilled that Sand to Sea, founded by my mother over a quarter of a century ago, will now be a part of Palm Springs Life and have the benefits of Palm Springs Life's wonderful resources and staff. I also think it will be fun and exciting to work with Milt Jones, as well as with his Editor-in-Chief Stewart Weiner and the rest of the organization."
