Diller's IAC Acquires CollegeHumor Website

IAC/InterActiveCorp has acquired a majority stake in the popular Collegehumor.com website. The site gets 6 million unique visitors each month and 200 million pageviews per month. IAC is getting a 51% stake and full voting control.

The AP says, "This is the first Web site to be added to IAC's portfolio as it builds its programming division, which was launched in January."

Collegehumor.com includes a popular hotlinks section that is visited by its primarily college demographic. The website also feature pictures, videos and articles. The also includes a section for R-rated content. Recently, they ran a promotion for the Beerfest movie. The AP article says Josh Abramson and Ricky Van Veen, who founded the website in college, will continue to manage the website.
