Disney and Other Companies Using Blogs for Internal Communications

An article in the Red Herring dicusses how more business are using blogs for internal communications. Some companies have these blogs on the web while others only provide the blogs on the corporate intranet. And some companies are still wary of having blogs at all. The article also says that Disney is using blogs for corporate communications:
Disney is using blogs as an internal communications tool, said Forrester analyst Charlene Li. Before the blogs, the entertainment company had tried to implement new software for employees to be able to log events, but the program had some bugs. So the employees switched to blogging on the web. Now employees on different shifts can read the blogs to know what�s going on, Ms. Li said.
