EarthWeb Announces Online Publishing Deals

EarthWeb announced that it has entered into agreements with seven leading Information Technology (IT) publishers to provide the complete text of their technical books on EarthWeb's ITKnowledge. The deals give EarthWeb licensing rights to over 3,000 technical books for its subscription-based online library of IT information.

The ITKnowledge roster of publishers comprises many respected companies in the technical publishing industry including: IDG Books Worldwide, The Coriolis Group, Wordware Publishing, CRC Press, 29th Street Press and ASP Publishing. ITKnowledge contains the full text of more than 400 books and approximately 300,000 pages of information currently online. ITKnowledge covers multiple technologies including: networking, enterprise-oriented development environments including C/C++, Java and Visual Basic; business- critical database technologies; and Internet and intranet technologies including HTML, Web servers and e-commerce.

ITKnowledge subscriptions are currently available at a monthly charter price of $9.95 or $95 per year. Corporate subscriptions and other volume licensing programs are also available.
